If you have come to our website, you may be asking yourself, “Why this show? Are there not bigger shows which have great multicultural items and dealers?” Our reply is, “Yes…. BUT….!

Having logged in countless days, miles and energy finding our favorite specialized dealers scattered throughout Tucson’s big gem shows each February, we couldn’t help but wonder, “Wouldn’t it be great to have a lovely dedicated shopping venue just for this kind of artistry!”

Designer friends Cindy Cook-Keller of Tucson’s Casa Tranquila Designs, and Fran Seigel, partner in Textile Gems™ from New York City, discussed a dream show concept over many conversations in 2009 and early 2010. The idea was to service buyers of exotic personal treasures — people much like ourselves — in a relaxed aesthetic setting. In early 2010, Cindy’s connection with Betsy Rollings, owner of the lovely and historic Cushing Street Bar and Restaurant, led to a concrete plan for our desired show concept. We soon invited Nancy McDonough of Kyoto Kimono and Ann Elston of Koumama Tuareg Jewelry to join us.

We have collaboratively selected offerings for our Ethnic Arts Boutique to present a rich variety of one-of-a-kind items celebrating some of the finest examples of world fiber artistry and finely crafted jewelry, featuring both age-old fine metalworking techniques and charming upcycling innovations.

We invite you to participate in our feast of visual and tactile wearable art for you and your home. Come to shop for yourself or for gifts in a lovely boutique setting. Or come simply to feast your eyes and learn about lovingly renewed and preserved multicultural treasures with origins from Japan, China, India, various African cultures, Central America, Indonesia, Amazonian Peru, and many other ethnicities.

See our Show Details page for more “when and where” information.

We look forward to seeing you at the show!
